INTEGRATED SYSTEMS

Integrated systems are a custom specified solution to the problem of securing a specific property or area within a building that incorporates more than one area of technology.

The principle in providing an integrated solution is that the strengths of each component of the system are exploited to maximise overall protection and efficiency.

As NSI NACOSS Gold Approved installers of Intruder Alarms, CCTV and Access Control systems, Clear Sound Security are recognised by both the Police and Insurance industry.

A typical scenario for the use of an integrated system could be for the controlled and safe access to a remote or lightly staffed property. On arrival a member of staff would gain access to a secured car park by either an Access Control or Number Plate Recognition system for example.

The control system would then know there is an authorised person on the premises and could switch on security lighting and preset the CCTV system to focus on the car parking area.

The same Access Control device could then allow access to the building and at the same time deactivate the Intruder Alarm system. The CCTV system could also be programmed to ‘follow’ users if required, and the Access Control system could also regulate where any member of staff is allowed to go within the building.

By making the systems interact in this way security coverage is targeted improving the safety of staff members, and the integrity of the building, while saving on resources.

It would also be possible to use a Remote Monitored CCTV system to actively monitor live pictures of staff arriving, the CCTV operator could then control all access to the site and building if required, or simply ensure that staff arrive and/or depart safely.
