| CLEAR SOUND ALARMS TO SUPPLY FORENSIC DETERRENT! |
Coventry based security firm, Clear Sound Alarms, has joined forces with SmartWater Technology to make its range of forensic security products directly available to businesses, it was announced today.
SmartWater is a unique forensic coding system, designed to deter criminals and act as an invaluable aid to local police forces. Thanks to its revolutionary forensic coding system even the slightest trace of SmartWater can be analysed for evidence and can be identified and authenticated down to a billionth part. The process is similar to DNA profiling, however each SmartWater code is even more unique than DNA, and far more robust.
SmartWater can either be painted onto items of value within the business environment, marking them with its forensic coding, or activated through a hidden spray system. The solution is virtually undetectable in normal light however any traces of the liquid will glow yellow under ultraviolet light. Previous police initiatives involving SmartWater have produced dramatic results: parts of Coventry saw a 76% reduction in burglary after police issued SmartWater kits to residents living in crime hot spots, whilst Todmorden in West Yorkshire saw domestic burglaries drop by an amazing 84%.
SmartWater has been deployed by police forces as part of their crime reduction strategies, as well as by major corporations including Tesco, Natwest, and Securicor, but the company is now looking to directly target the SME market. Clear Sound Alarms has achieved NACOSS GOLD standards from the National Security Inspectorate, and will be introducing their customers in the Coventry area to the forensic coding system for the first time.
More T/F…
Police forces nationwide are equipped to detect SmartWater, ensuring that any recovered stolen property that is coated with SmartWater can be identified, checked against the SmartWater National Security Register - which is maintained to BS 7799 standards, and used by organisations such as MI5 and GCHQ – and returned to the owner.
Philip Hadley, Senior Security Surveying Advisor at Clear Sound Alarms, said: “SmartWater has a solid reputation as a criminal deterrent thanks to its 100% conviction rate, and is forcing thieves to think twice before committing a crime as the risk of getting caught is simply too high. It’s a fantastic product, and by working closely with our customers we can introduce SmartWater to new markets and make businesses of all sizes a lot more secure from potential burglaries.”
Shropshire based SmartWater is continually working with police forces nationwide on a host of regional strategies and initiatives involving businesses, schools and residential areas. The company has cemented a formidable reputation with police forces and is recognised as an Official Police Accredited Organisation – an endorsement that SmartWater products meet with police security standards, and actively assist in crime prevention.
SmartWater Chief Executive, Phil Cleary, said: “By working with Clear Sound Alarms we are continuing to spread the word about SmartWater. We are making businesses aware that SmartWater is an entirely new dynamic in security systems because its forensic coding creates a powerful deterrent, yet remains extremely cost effective. Whilst some potential customers might be introduced to our products for the first time, the local criminal fraternity will have definitely heard of SmartWater and are all too aware of its potential to identify them.”
